The Foundation for Student Organizations Support and Advice, formerly known as the Foundation for Student Activities (SSA), is the umbrella student organization of Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen. It was founded in 1994 during the merger of the Rijkshogeschool and Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen. Now, 30 years later, the foundation is well known among Hanze and all student organizations. A total of 38 Hanze student organizations fall under the SSA. As the umbrella organization for Hanze student organizations, the SSA serves as an inspiring example for putting its four core values into practice. The four core values that are central to its work are: supporting, connecting, representing, and inspiring.
